A villa with weekly guest turnover collects sand in sofas, grease in extractor filters and mildew in shower corners that a two-hour turnover cannot reach. A quarterly deep clean — mattresses turned, upholstery vacuumed, kitchen cupboards emptied, ceilings and fans washed — keeps reviews clean and stops small problems (a damp wardrobe, an ant trail) becoming replacements.
Once before the wet season (October) to clear drains, treat mildew-prone corners and check screens, and once after it (April) to deal with what the rain brought in. Coastal villas in Canggu, Seminyak and Uluwatu benefit from a third visit because salt air films every surface.
